Test Your Tastebuds and Dine in the Dark at Taste of Dubai
Dine in the Dark with Chef Andy Campbell is the latest event added to the Taste of Dubai programme when the food fest hits Dubai Media City Amphitheatre from 14 to 16 March. If you rate yourself as a bit of an aficionado and think you know your paprika from your pepper, this blindfolded dining experience is a must!
You’ll be served three large canapés and a glass of grape, which will be hidden from view, so you’ll have to rely on your sense of smell, taste and texture to help you then choose 20 ingredients from a list of 100 and guess what you’ve sampled. If you get it right, you’ll be entered into a prize draw to win a private fine dining experience in your own home courtesy of Chef Andy, worth Dhs5,000. And you couldn’t be in better hands, chef Andy has worked in a few of London’s finest eateries, including Café Royal, and locally he’s known for his Seven Signature concept, where he creates dishes using seasonal ingredients and organically grown, local produce.
Taste of Dubai is the city’s most popular al fresco food festival and this year the event will showcase 30 restaurants and visitors can dig into sample plates from eateries including Armani Amal and Armani Ristorante, Frevo from the Fairmont The Palm, Asado and Thiptara from The Palace Hotel, No 5 Bar & Lounge in the Ritz Carlton DIFC as well as Prime 68, Lzakaya and Rang Mahal from the newly opened JW Marriott Marquis.
Also make sure to look out for celeb chefs Gary Rhodes, Richard Sandoval, Vineet Bhatia and the Food Network’s Jenny Morris and Reza Mohammed.
