Taylor Swift's 'Lover' Album is ALREADY breaking records after just a day of its release
If you were staring at your Spotify screens, eagerly waiting for the new T Swift album notification to pop up, we feel you.
The world went wild after the singer launched her latest album Lover on Friday, and you won't believe the massive hype that it garnered through its sales.
According to Billboard, the sales reports of the album given to Nielson Music reached 500,000 through its second day of release on Saturday, an additional 50,000 after the album clocked in 450,000 sales during the first 24-hours of release.
By the way, Lover surpassed Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born soundtrack, which was 2019's top seller, with 440,000 in sales throughout the week, and ended on August 22nd.
If you thought Taylor's record of selling 1.216 million copies of her Reputation album during its first week was impressive, expect Lover to surpass this number by the end of its first week.
We honestly wouldn't be surprise, considering how the sales already reached half a million in just 48 hours.
Billboard estimates the album to reach 700,000 in sales next weekend (we think it'll reach a higher number), and will be Taylor's sixth time to land on the US number one.
