Tala's Go to Piece of Jewellery
Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock all season, you’ll know that chokers are all the rage right now. I’ve jumped on the bandwagon, and now own a range of them, from simple black ones to quirky creations from up-and-coming designers, plus some luxe pieces made for formal attire.
Here are just a few of my favourite brands, all of which I order online…
I discovered this London-based brand this summer. It incorporates an amazing use of colour into all its designs. The Hamsa Hand features regularly in the pieces, too. Dana recently launched a range of velvet chokers featuring the evil eye on pendants, which I totally adore.
A more affordable range, you can find Vanessa Mooney on Shopbop.com, and I absolutely love her pieces. I have around five of her chokers, which are favourite with celebrities.
For dainty jewels and layering, I love US label Shashi, which you can also find on Shopbop.com. I usually pair these with longer necklaces – the great thing about layering is you can make each necklace look different every time.
If you like a more casual and bohemian look, I recommend this brand for its earthy tones and suede finish.
A discovery from ASOS, this girl creates real show-stoppers. They look best worn with something simple, and I love the way Suzy makes the chokers look like pieces of art.
