Being the first-born daughter of the highly regarded and much photographed Samman family, Tala could while away her time on the Dubai social scene by merely being an ‘It’ girl. But since graduating from London College of Fashion with a degree in Fashion Media and Communication, Tala is not only recognised locally for being the editor of her blog, myfashdiary.com – she’s also garnered international media attention as a contributing editor for publications including The Guardian, The Huffington Post and both Grazia’s  UK and Middle East editions.

In 2013, Tala’s rise to prominence hit an all-time high when she was hand-picked to take part in a number of campaigns for leading international brands such as Jimmy Choo, which shot her for its Cruise ’13 campaign, as well as Tod’s, Ariel and Pantene, which named her its newest brand ambassador. In between, she was also hired to style the windows of prominent German boutique Theresa, before proving you’re never too young to get your fashion kicks by starting a style and crafts programme at indoor playground Apple Seeds Dubai aimed at girls aged from nine to 13.

Although Tala has many responsibilities to fulfil and not enough time in the day, she reveals that the unpredictability of her schedule is what keeps her motivated. “Every day is different and I love that. I could be in a meeting one hour, teaching a style course for kids for the next few hours, then getting glammed up for an event. With my site growing into a lifestyle portal, it’s an exciting time as I become more and more immersed in a variety of projects, which is all reflected in the evolution of my blog.”
