You can watch the world go by. Stratos is Abu Dhabi’s revolving restaurant, moving almost imperceptibly to offer each diner a 360-degree view of the city. Depending upon what time you visit, you could take in azure skies or the flashing lights of the city after dark. Why not pop by for sundowners?

It has its own lift, so your ascent is uninterrupted. Stratos caters to a wealthy clientele and even hosted an exclusive F1 Abu Dhabi meet and greet with driver Lewis Hamilton. Fancy!

The interior is dark and seductive. Black, gold and cream abound, with Art Deco influences giving the venue the refined, elegant atmosphere of a bygone era. All tables are by the windows, while the bar, bathrooms and DJ booth occupy the venue’s centre. The open kitchen allows chefs to engage with guests as they create culinary masterpieces such as the Kobe beef.

Drink lockers are provided so patrons can stash their preferred bottles. Decorative gold keys at the entrance allude to these cabinets, adding another feature of exclusivity.

Try the 300g John Stone grass-fed rib eye. This flavoursome meat is dry-aged for at least three weeks and comes from Irish cattle whose diet, which also includes herbs, which is said to contribute to its sublime flavour and succulence.
