'Stranger Things' season 3 just broke Netflix's streaming record and we're not surprised
If you spent the last few days binge-watching the latest episodes of Netflix's 'Stranger Things,' you would know just how difficult it was to stop watching.
We mean, come on, other-dimensional monsters, an insanely brave group of teenagers and a blooming coming of age plotline? You wouldn't want to hesitate to watch this thrilling series.
Considering how highly-anticipated the third season was, it's no surprise that the enthusiasm has translated into 40.7 million views in just four days! This new record beats the views of any other film or series on Netflix in its first four days since release.
Oh, and the craziest thing of them all? 18.2 million people already finished the entire season -that's eight one-hour long episodes in total.

40.7 million household accounts have been watching the show since its July 4 global launch — more than any other film or series in its first four days. And 18.2 million have already finished the entire season.
Netflix has only recently started sharing the viewing stats and figures of their shows. And just to put into perspective how big of an achievement this is for the thriller series; Birdbox, Netflix's previous highest viewed show, garnered a total of 80 million views over four weeks.
That means 'Stranger Things' has achieved half of that figure in just four days!
Raise your hands up if you were part of the 18.2 million people who finished the series...
