Guitarist John Squire and boyhood friend Ian Brown have finally kissed and made up after 15 long years.

They've confirmed at least two gigs in the UK next summer, with more promised around the world. People in your 30s and 40s, get onto Twitter, FaceBook, MySpace and every other networking site out there to convince the Stone Roses we need them here in the Emirates. The Manchester band, who are one of the most influential British groups ever, have also promised a number of new and inspired songs.

Ian, now 48, said, “Something magical happens when us four are in a room together playing and it’s great to have that back”. Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher wrote on his Twitter page:, “Stone Roses are reforming, not been this happy since my kids were born.” Sums it up for a lot of us.
