Renowned as one of the USA’s top steakhouses, STK’s JBR incarnation opened its doors at the end of 2017. Since then it’s created its own niche combining a chic lounge concept, upbeat atmosphere and superior quality steakhouse fare with a contemporary twist.
Steak is naturally the star attraction. At STK, choose from USDA Prime cuts, Australian Wagyu or Canadian Heritage striploin. Those wanting something other than red meat won’t leave hungry, however. There’s a raw bar with freshly shucked oysters, ceviche, carpaccios and tartares, and mains such as the steamed seabass with coconut-garlic rice, and a mushroom risotto with chives and a porcini puree.
Upgrade your steak with a decadent topping. Optional extras include a duck egg, poached lobster tail, pepper crust or grilled king prawn.
So good they named it twice. With favourites such as prawn cocktail, USDA fillet and New York Cheesecake on the menu, Dare to Brunch takes place on Fridays between 1pm and 4pm. If you prefer to indulge later in the day, head to Double Dare to Brunch, from 8pm. Both sittings offer free-flowing drinks deals from Dhs349, and usually sell out more than a month in advance.
