Family Fun in the Sun

The family and I had a lovely night stay at the Jebel Ali Golf Resort and Spa. We could only manage a night away and so it was the perfect choice as it’s only a 20 minute drive from Dubai.

Once we’d checked in, the kids couldn’t wait to try out the Wibit water park located in the shallow of the sea. The children did a few laps of each circuit and tired themselves out. It was nice to do an activity as a family and good fun too watching Johnny slide off the inflatable park! It reminded me of my time on Total Wipeout but not quite as scary!

The food in the White Orchid restaurant was fantastic, whether having lunch or dinner and the staff were so friendly but best part of staying at Jebel Ali was being surrounded by 150 peacocks! It made our stay as the children enjoy seeing nature and spent their time looking for them and trying to find peacocks with their tail feathers proudly displayed. The peacocks are really friendly, but a tad camera shy, but we finally managed to get a nice shot of the kids with a peacock in the background, if you look closely!

A Winning Smile

My younger brother Ant had his launch at Mahiki nightclub for his new teeth whitening product LA Smile. It was a great turn out as it was ladies night and all the girls were keen to learn more about how to get the perfect smile. The Mahiki team were great hosts and looked after us all and gave us dinner. It was the first time I’d eaten there and I was surprised by how good the food was. The menu included fun bits such as fish finger sandwiches, yummy! I wish my little bro all the success in his new venture!

 My Hubby’s a Diamond!

It was a busy night for my husband Johnny last week as he was choreographing a catwalk event for Swarovski. Fortunately it was held at the Cove Beach, next to Mahiki, which meant I could support both of the special men in my life. The catwalk show was impressive with the models rocking a selection of gorgeous clothes and jewelry. Johnny gave me a goodie bag and I was delighted to find a beautiful Swarovski necklace inside! Perks of being married to the boss!

Lights, Camera, Action

After launching our Dubai Performing Arts Academy in 2014, I’m excited to say that we’re rehearsing for our very first annual DPAA show, which will be held in the beautiful Madinat Theatre on Saturday 6th June. Our students are working incredibly hard and we’ve been rehearsing every day to put the final touches to our show ‘DPAA Performs… 2015’. We have over 150 pupils taking part in the all singing all dancing spectacular and Johnny and I are so proud of what they’ve achieved. The production will showcase the kids’ talents and is fun for all the family, with a surprise or two in store for the audience! Tickets are on sale now and are available through the Madinat Theatre Box Office or online at
