Star Wars bosses had to get Rise of Skywalker script back after Ebay leak
Star Wars bosses had to swoop in and grab a rogue script for the final film in the sci-fi franchise after discovering it was headed to the online auction block. Director J.J. Abrams reveals one actor carelessly left the script under his bed and it was found by a cleaner.
"It was given to someone else, who then went to sell it on eBay," he tells Good Morning America. "Someone at the company (Disney) said, 'There's a script that looks like it's a legit script that's for sale on eBay...', and they got it back before it sold."
J.J. admits he was surprised that the tight security broke down: "The security is insane," he adds. "The company, they were really nervous about anything getting out, and so they only printed a handful of scripts and they were printed on crazy, uncopyable paper."
