If you have roots in the Emerald Isle, or want to pretend to be Irish – or if you just want another excuse for a celebration – St. Patrick’s Day is not too far off. And the good people of The Beach House at Anantara Dubai The Palm are gearing themselves up for five whole days of festive Gaelic craic, with their first ever Guinness & Oyster Festival.
From Friday 13 March, there’ll be a limited edition al la carte menu, featuring dishes such as smoked Irish salmon with caper berries, seafood chowder with Guinness bread, Galway oysters and Guinness and beef pie. The strawberry and rhubarb trifle or the Bailey’s and chocolate Delight will tempt even the most savoury palette, washed down with your favourite choice of Irish tipple, from 7pm until late.
The five-day Irish-fest will culminate on St. Patrick’s Day itself, with a green-themed ‘Sparkle in the Sand’ ladies night, where Dhs75 gets you free-flowing bubbles from 8pm til 11pm. What’s more, the first 50 ladies in attendance will receive a sparkling stone, one of which will be the real thing – and if you want to find out if you’ve got a genuine and non-sham rock, you can have it verified on the night at Dhamani in the resort’s main lobby.
