As much as we love city life, it’s always nice to escape the madness. Enter DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island, with its picturesque beach, relaxing vibe and luxury accommodation.

First to open on the prestigious Marjan Island back in 2013, the hotel is only 50 minutes away from Dubai International airport and has plenty of local attractions nearby that visitors can enjoy. We’re talking an impressive golf course, aviation club, and even complimentary transportation to Al Hamra shopping mall.

In terms of accommodation, there’s something for the whole family. In fact, even the extended family! The resort offers 723 spacious and contemporary guestrooms, deluxe rooms and suites, in addition to the Bay Club rooms, all overlooking the 650-metre white sandy beach and seven swimming pools.
There’s also something to keep the entire family occupied and entertained, with beach volley ball, billiards, table tennis, foot darts, giant chess, and watersports activities on offer.

With school holidays around the corner, it’s the perfect time for the young ones to enjoy the indoor kids’ club with a climbing wall and arcade zone, and an outdoor playground with trampolines, swings and slides. Plus there’s a Pirate Boat Aqua Zone with four water slides, water buckets, and sprinklers, as well as a bouncy castle.

With so many activities on offer, you’re going to need to eat, which brings us to the restaurants. There are 13 restaurants and bars to choose from, so you certainly won’t go hungry. There are two all-day dining restaurants, Al Marjan restaurant and the Bay Club restaurant; a lobby lounge for a fresh cup of coffee any time throughout the day; ShoFee rooftop lounge, with wonderful views of the Arabian Gulf; Brasserie, offering a variety of French cuisine favourites; Italian restaurant Vespa; Anchor Bar, Boardwalk and Bay View pool bars; Meze restaurant, offering authentic Turkish cuisine; and Sanchaya, which has a wide spread of modern Asian delicacies. We weren’t joking when we said you wouldn’t go hungry!

And what would a getaway be without some pampering? Fortunately, there are two spas to help you reach ultimate relaxation, including a couple’s spa with seven treatment rooms, a Jacuzzi and a sauna. There is also a ladies-only spa featuring two treatment rooms, an indoor pool and a relaxation lounge in a stand-alone building.

That’s certainly our next holiday sorted, then.
