• Solutions Leisure, the company that I work for, has won a staggering number of awards in 2015: Best Ladies’ Night three times, Highly Recommended Bar and Best Bar twice, for Q43, not to mention picking up Best Pan-Asian Restaurant for Karma Kafé.

• We’ve also hosted massive free events across a number of our venues, which have included French musicians Gipsy Kings at Asia Asia’s first birthday party, and DJ Ravin, the man behind the Buddha Bar compilations, at the re-opening of Karma Kafé.

• At Q43 we’ve hosted big names including Grammy award-winning DJ David Morales, legendary producer and DJ Todd Terry and house DJ Roger Sanchez.

• Being part of the Solutions Leisure Group is not a job to me, nor is it just a company. You don’t give your heart and soul to a company, you give it to the people that come together to make that company. It’s about team work, plain and simple, and having good people around you that inspire you and drive you on.

• My father, Alan Hartwell, the man I most respect and admire in the world, said: “Concentrate on your work and not the money; the money will come.”

• With the launch of our latest venture, Lock, Stock and Barrel at The Grand Millennium Hotel, Tecom, we now operate five venues. And we have plans to open and run more amazing places this year.
