Spa Review: Spa Cordon

While we're partial to a day spent at one of Dubai's many luxury hotel spas, sometimes all it takes is a few hours in an urban enviroment to calm your senses and get your mind back on track for the week ahead. And that's exactly what we discovered at the newly opened Spa Cordon.

Nestled among the bustling DIFC in Sky Gardens, while Spa Cordon doesn't seem huge at first, what you'll soon discover is a relaxing maze of serene treatment rooms, relaxation areas and a dedidated nail room that uses only the best organic treatments. We opted for the Aroma Stone massage - 60 mintues of pure bliss that involve the skilled therapist massaging you with heated stones.

Before any of that though, it's time to make your treatment personal as you get to pick your choice of oils that will be used throughout the treatment. We opted for Almond Oil which is said to be relaxing yet good for the skin. And we're off to a great start!

While we didn't really think about it at the time, opting for a hot stone massage might not be sensible during the hottest time of the year but the rooms are set to the perfect temperature with uber-relaxing music that sends you off into a near slumber while the therapist gets to work. There's a dreamy head massage thrown in, too along with a focus on the hands and feet. Utter bliss!

We left feeling as light as air and just as satsifised as we would leaving a five star hotel spa - at a fraction of the price, too. If you're in the area or just fancy treating yourself, make sure you check out Spa Cordon - we definitely recommend!
