Simon Cowell Disses Demi Lovato at Teen Choice Awards
Demi and Simon: The argument continues

Demi Lovato’s the newest member of the ‘Dissed by Simon Cowell’ club but she isn’t taking it lying down. The singer/actress’ stint co-hosting the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday (22 July) got off to a bad start when her X Factor boss warned Glee actor Kevin McHale about her.

After complimentary comments came in via satellite from fellow judges Britney Spears and LA Reid, SiCo got critical in a video message beamed onto a large screen above Demi right at the top of the show.

He said, "I need to speak to you Kevin about your co-host, Demi Lovato. I've been working with her for the past few weeks and she is annoying, obnoxious, disruptive, gobby, irritating, bad manners, not great taste... she's a brat, I could go on for hours."

But then he added, "That's what makes her special and I really do love her, a bit. Have a great night. Wish I was there but no one invited me." Faint praise there, and it didn’t seem to go down too well with Demi, who fired right back, "He's just old... He isn't used to women in this century being able to sit with him."

Of course, there was more to the show than Simon and Demi (who also picked up two awards). The Twilight Saga and its stars added to their Teen Choice Awards haul with another four honours, including the 2012 event's Ultimate Choice special trophy.

The films and its stars Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have now picked up a staggering 41 awards at the event!

K-Stew and Taylor also landed prizes for Snow White & The Huntsman and Abduction, respectively.

But the big Teen Choice winners were The Hunger Games and The Vampire Diaries, which claimed six honours apiece.

Taylor Swift was the biggest individual winner, landing five trophies and taking her Teen Choice Awards haul to 20, making her the most honoured female at the event. Justin Bieber, Flo Rida and Carly Rae Jepsen also rocked the stage.
