Shop ‘Til You Drop at MIA Park Bazaar on Saturday
When celebrities and VIPs visit Doha, where do they go shopping? The Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) Park Bazaar, of course! In the grounds of I.M. Pei’s masterpiece of a museum, the Bazaar is the perfect place to spend an afternoon looking for gifts, souvenirs and hidden gems. An eclectic mix of stalls, the Bazaar is a great example of Doha’s melting pot culture; you can shop for handcrafted ethnic jewellery while sipping karak. It’s the modern-day version of Qatar’s traditional souq, but the Bazaar is in a luscious park, away from the hustle and bustle of Doha’s traffic. You’ll be in good company, too. Only last week the sight of Gwen Stefani browsing through the Bazaar’s 150 stalls whipped up a storm on Instagram. Who knows who will turn up this weekend!
