His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has just been awarded the Diamond Jubilee trophy to celebrate the memorable win of race horse 'Blue Point' during the Royal Ascot.

The five-year-old Godolphin hero (Godolphin is the Maktoum family's private Thoroughbred horseracing stable) landed two Group 1 winners in the space of five days. Impressive.

His Highness was present at the most popular horse racing meetings in the calendar to see Godolphin’s Blue Point, ridden by James Doyle, gallop to victory on Saturday June 22, as well as secure the title of King’s Stand Stakes on the opening day of the racing festival on Tuesday.

According to The National, Sheikh Mohammed shared how proud he was by saying: “He is a very good horse, and after he won the King's Stand, it was quite an easy decision to run him again. We wanted to see him another time at Ascot before he goes to stud at the end of the season.”

Congratulations to H.H - and Blue Point, of course.
