Major Shocker: Shawn Mendes doesn't have social media on his phone anymore?!
Social media must be really tiring to look at when you're a celebrity, and pop-singer Shawn Mendes went to the extreme of deleting Instagram and Twitter on his phone.
After fueling dating rumours with Camila Cabello all summer, the 20-year-old admitted during a pre-concert Q&A, that he no longer uses social media on his phone. Even though both of his accounts are still active, he said his manager posts the content.
"I struggle with social media a lot too. To be honest with you guys, I deleted Instagram and Twitter three days ago, but I send my manager pictures, and I'm like, 'Can you post this?'" the Stitches hitmaker revealed.
Though Mendes never specified why he decided to take a step back from social media, he did say "it gets to him as much as anyone else," adding that "needs to take a break from it" every now and then.

It doesn't come as a surprise that Mendes decided to cut himself off of social media, considering how the internet doesn't have the nicest things to say about the blooming romance between him and co-singer, Camila Cabello.
Speaking of Camila, she also admitted that she doesn't have social media on her phone. "I try to protect myself as much as I can. I don't have any social media on my phone," she told Cosmopolitan magazine.
"I have it on my mom's phone, so if there's anything I want to say or if I want to read through what my fans are sending me, I can. It has made a world of difference."
