Shawn & Camila: Hot new couple or PR stunt?
Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello have fuelled rumours they're more than just friends, after being photographed hand-in-hand while out together earlier this month.
The pair first sparked speculation of a romance when they teamed up on the track Senorita, for which they appeared in a steamy music video. Camila's subsequent split from boyfriend Matthew Hussey did little to halt the rumours, and images have now emerged of the potential new couple enjoying a cosy date night together in West Hollywood, California.
The snaps, posted on Entertainment Tonight Canada's website, showed 22-year-old Camila, wearing a sexy backless black jumpsuit, holding hands with Shawn, 20, who looked smart in a striped shirt and trousers.
The pair also spent the Independence Day holiday together on 4 July, with a short video clip shared from a pool party on Instagram Stories that showed Camila and Shawn cuddling up by the pool away from the rest of the revellers.
The former Fifth Harmony star previously revealed it took a lot for her to get some courage ahead of shooting the steamy Senorita video with Shawn.
In the video, the duo cuddled up in some intimate scenes as they acted out a night of passion between Camila's diner waitress and Shawn's customer, including a motorcycle ride, some sensuous dances and a night in a hotel.
"The whole music video was funny because we were both really nervous!" she laughed in a live chat ahead of the track's release.
Camila and Shawn also gushed about their love for one another in the chat, with the stunning brunette smiling: "We’ve known each other for about four years now, and I really love Shawn as a person and he’s always been there for me. I’m lucky I found someone like that early on when I started this. While Shawn gushed, "She is the most creative most fun most empathetic person I know! Working with her is a dream."
Cabello also gushed about Mendes on Instagram as she watched him perform in Los Angeles shortly afterwards.
"@shawnmendes you couldn’t be more amazing. Wow," she wrote, adding a red heart emoji.
Camila, who was spotted seated on one of the upper levels at the stadium, also posted: "You're unreal. @shawnmendes."
Shawn’s Friday night show at the Staples Center was hit by an earthquake as a 7.1 roller, which originated 150 miles away, hit the venue.
Fans were moved from an area in front of the stage to avoid possible injuries from swaying equipment, according to E! News.
We’re sure that’s not the only thing that’s rocking his world lately…
