Sharjah Has Announced New Paid Parking Zones

Sharjah Municipality has introduced new paid parking zones in certain areas of the city.

The new zones requiring a parking fees are as follows:

  • Umm Al Tarafa
  • Abdul Rahman Ibn Awf street
  • Khalil Mutran street
  • street No 2 

Officials at the Department of public parking stated that parking machines have already been installed in the area for easy access, reports Gulf News.

The introudction of paid parking in these particular areas has been requested by residents and business owners alike. Paid parking will ensure that residents and visitors have adequate parking, along with minimising the misuse of parking spaces in commerical areas.

Parking can be paid via machine, SMS, or three month, six month or one-yearr parking stickers or cards, which are available to purchase at Sharjah Municipality.
