To reduce the spread of coronavirus

Saudi nationals in the UAE or Bahrain have a three-day window to return back to KSA, the embassies have warned.

On Tuesday morning, the Saudi embassies in UAE and Bahrain announced a 72-hour deadline to return before Saudi borders are re-enforced, according to Arabian Business.

There are 20 reported cases of coronavirus within the Kingdom, and land borders have been closed to private vehicles - only commercial vehicles can enter through the roads.

However, Saudi nationals returning to the Kingdom can pass through the King Fahd bridge or take Gulf Air flights to return home while UAE-based Saudis can take Saudia flights or pass through the Al Batha checkpoint near Abu Dhabi.

The Kingdom of Saudi has implemented a travel ban on countries including:

  • Italy
  • Iran
  • Kuwait
  • UAE
  • Lebanon
  • Syria
