Salman Khan Blockbuster Cancelled After Severe Floods
Bollywood bath: Salman Khan's film is on hiatus

An upcoming Bollywood blockbuster has been delayed by more than a week after severe flooding hit northern India.

Downpours have left large parts of the Jammu and Kashmir region under water, and more than 200 residents have been evacuated as flash floods hit the area.

A film crew shooting scenes for new movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan was due to head to northern India at the start of this month for location work, but their planned 40-day trip has now been put back because of the unfolding disaster.

A source tells The Hindustan Times: "Initially, the film's team was set to leave Mumbai for J&K in the first week of April, but due to the floods, plans went a bit awry. Now, the cast and crew will leave around April 15 and start shooting immediately."

Bajrangi Bhaijaan stars controversial actor Salman Khan and charts the illicit love between a youth and his Hindu sweetheart.
