Zayn Malik was due to perform in Dubai in just a month's time on Friday 7 October. However, the Pillowtalk singer has now cancelled the concert.
The star released a statement, "Dear Fans, I have been working over the last three months to overcome my extreme anxiety around major live solo performances. I feel I am making progress but I have today acknowledged that I do not feel sufficiently confident to move forward with the planned show in Dubai in October."
"I am truly sorry to disappoint you. I hope to see you all soon," he added.
Having been announced earlier in the year, fans had been gearing up for his gig with countdowns on social media and tickets already bought.
Selena Gomez also recently cancelled her tour, which included a performance at the same venue that Zayn would have been playing at, the Autism Rocks Arena.
Fortunately, organisers of the event 117Live will be ensuring that ticket holders will receive a full refund. They explain, "Details of refund arrangement can be found on all relevant ticketing partner and event web sites and in-store at Virgin Mega Store outlets."
Though we're super-disappointed we won't be seeing Zayn live next month, we hope he feels better soon!
