RUTH’S CHRIS STEAKHOUSE, THE ADDRESS DUBAI MARINA
The brunch is a dignified affair. Dishes – all the favourites from the main menu – are delivered to your table, as many portions as you like. It’s a treat to sample so many starters, from the seared ahi tuna to the battered sriracha-spiced ‘voodoo’ prawns, a crowd-pleaser made with a Thai hot sauce of chilli, vinegar, garlic, sugar and salt. The accompanying cocktail menu is a credit to the mixologist, and there’s a pop-up cheese room especially for the occasion, too.
The steak here may be the best in Dubai. It’s cooked to the stringent Ruth’s Chris recipe, grilled for the exact number of prescribed minutes, in accordance with the customer’s preference of rare to well done, then left to rest for a set time before being served. When cut, it doesn’t bleed; all fluids are reabsorbed, thanks to the prep. That’s how you know you have a good steak.
Try your steak Oscar-style. This combo features a perfectly cooked fillet topped with hot buttered asparagus and a fat succulent crab cake smothered in rich creamy Hollandaise sauce.
Beyond brunch, the place attracts a lot of business diners. It might be the masculine elegance of the red and black interior that attracts them. The marina views are another bonus.
