Just when we thought we couldn't love her more… our favourite bad gal is launching a scholarship program through the Clara Lionel Foundation which she founded in 2012 in honour of her grandparents, Clara and Lionel Braithwaite.
The scholarship will range from Dhs18,000 to Dhs183,000. It will be available for students from her native Barbados, as well as Cuba, Haiti, Guyana, Jamaica and the US, who have already ensured a university spot. Applications for the upcoming school year are currently accepted via the Clara Lionel Foundation’s website until 10 June.
The Barbadian singer's non-profit charity aims to "improve the quality of life for communities globally in the areas of health, education, arts and culture". RiRi wrote in a statement that "to be able to give the gift of education is actually an honour". She added: "higher education will help provide perspective, opportunities, and learning to a group of kids who really deserve it. I am thrilled to be able to do this".
She's been raising money for her foundation through her famous annual fundraising gala where A-list celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Zendaya and Brad Pitt have been spotted.
