The ‘Model Restaurant’ initiative allows models and social media influencers to partner up with restaurants, enabling them to receive free meals in exchange for hyping up the restaurants on Instagram.
The only two rules are that the models must be associated with a modelling company, and they must already have a considerable number of followers and reach on Instagram.
Even though this initiative highlights the shallow nature of humanity, it does seem like a great way for restaurants to receive publicity. Especially in today’s world of social media and social media influencers.
The ‘Model Restaurant’ initiative was launched by 29-year-old Italian entrepreneur Giovanbattista Cimmino who has founded a London-based social media agency called SocialAsk and the modelling agency Remodels.
Cimmino told Arabian Business, “With Model Restaurant we are planning to enter the Middle East market by offering our services by the end of 2019,” he said. “The Middle East market is one of the most important and [influential] in the world.”
To use this service, models can simply sign up by following the Instagram page @modelrestaurant and sending a direct message to them.
