Named after the famed Chinese explorer, Zheng He’s is a fine spot for your own discovery of all that is superlative about the cuisine. In the hands of Executive Chef Jeff Tan, whose take on dishes includes the unusually ingenious tabasco coated prawns, the restaurant attracts streams of A-list diners, including members of the UAE’s royal family. The amazing location, by the magnificent waterways of the Madinat Jumeirah and with views of the Burj Al Arab, adds to the overall fantastic effect just as the red lanterns dotting the ceiling make the traditional ambience even brighter.
From the dim sum to the duck, everything is sublime here and one visit is simply not enough to absorb Zheng He’s brilliance. In October this year, the extensive menu changes to make way for newer offerings. What will they have in store for us? A clue perhaps lies in Zheng He’s philosophy – to blend is to better and to combine is to constantly surprise. We can’t help but agree.
