The moment you step into Teatro, you experience a “love-at-first-sight” feeling – warm red décor, with mahagony and black tones dominate the space. Additionally, the muted lighting and foam chairs welcome you for what turns out to be a rather memorable culinary experience. Cuisine-wise, Teatro has a bit of everything – Tandoori, Asian noodles and rice, sushi and sashimi platter and fixed combos. But thankfully too many cooks do not spoil the broth, in this case! The lump crab salad is a good choice to begin your meal, with the combination of coconut, lime and micro cress lending it a unique flavour. The wok-fried peking duck spring rolls, too, have many subtle flavors parceled into them. Stick to Japanese in the main course – the scallops and avocado maki served with mayonnaise and peppered mango sauce leave a delightfully spicy and fresh taste on your senses. The blueberry brûlée served with seasonal berries feels both sweet and sour and provides a great conclusion to the meal. Teatro is the perfect place to treat a large group for a meal due to the variety of cuisine – there’s something for everyone!
