It isn’t difficult to guess what the specialty of this restaurant in the plush celeb haunt Grand Hyatt Dubai, is. The gigantic lobster and crabs swimming in the tank as you enter the restaurant are evidence enough. There are seafood restaurants galore but perhaps Peppercrab is the only one that focuses on a Singaporean gastronomic experience. And what an experience it turns out to be! The Asian classics like satays, crispy wontons and Malay-style grilled chicken are always good but the highlight remains the crab in pepper sauce. The striking flavours of the sweet, sticky pepper sauce combine with the juicy crab meat to create tastes that delight with each mouthful.
For a deeper Singaporean experience try the beef rendang or the famous roasted duck pancakes. But chances are, once you have the melt-in-the-mouth crab or lobster (stir-  fried or grilled and enhanced with the most aromatic spices and sauces), you may not want to try anything else.
