As the Godfather of all Japanese fusion restaurants, Nobu’s different locations across the globe are often frequented by A-listers. This culinary gem is the brainchild of world- renowned Japanese Chef Nobu Matsuhisa and Hollywood heavyweight Robert Di Niro –  with such a team, it’s easy to see why there are more than 20 Nobu restaurants around the world!

Situated on The Palm amid the luxury surroundings of The Atlantis, Nobu is a feast for the senses. The menu is innovative and always on the cutting edge of Japanese cuisine. At times adventurous, the dining experience requires going with the flow – especially when it comes to having raw fish – and that’s exactly what we did! We opted for the the six-course tasting menu, which our attentive waiter knowledgably guided us through. Our culinary journey included some raw choices, such as the succulent yellowtail sashimi with jalapeno and yuzu soy, and culminated with Nobu’s world-famous signature dish, ‘Miso Black Cod’, which tastes like velvet on the palate and is one of the most exquisite creations we’ve ever tried. The epicurean affair does however come with a hefty price tag, but that’s to be expected from a restaurant that boasts great credentials, and a glamourous following. In fact, it’s not rare to spend an evening rubbing elbows with Tinseltown’s most fashionable crowd – supermodel Elle Macpherson, fashion guru Whitney Port and US reality star Kim Kardashian, have recently been spotted there sampling the restaurant’s culinary delights. Very highly recommended indeed!
