Restaurant Review: Mayrig, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, Downtown Dubai
Mayrig prides itself on being Dubai’s only traditional Armenian restaurant, with homemade authentic dishes prepared by elderly Armenian ladies. Presenting the food mezze-style gives the restaurant an informal homely feel with guests tucking into a variety of small dishes that are perfect for sharing. Don’t miss the soubeuereg (12-layered pastry stuffed with melted cheese), the missov mante (baked meat dumplings topped with yoghurt and sumac, or the fishnah kebab (grilled kebab served with wild cherry coulis). Its extensive menu makes it great for both vegetarians and meat-lovers, who’ll also appreciate its central Downtown Dubai location.
