With wholesome light food generously strewn with a helping of greens, La Petite Maison’s French-Mediterranean cuisine is heart-healthy and delicious. Walking into the portals of this culinary gem is not unlike strolling into a lush country home. A gardened opening welcomes you into the breezy, light interior generously dotted with colourful veggies, greens and sumptuous flowers. The burrata, a concoction of creamy cheese served with cherry tomatoes and divinely aromatic basil and olive oil, is heaven at first bite. Particular dishes of note are the French green beans ingeniously mixed with foie gras, and the exquisite cut of steak and the fried spiced calamari. However, the stars of the outstanding menu, the decadent chocolate mousse and the almost ethereal French toast, make you want to eat at this hot spot at least once a week. One thing’s for sure – La Petite Maison epitomises food at its haute best.
