Lovers of Indian and Southeast Asian cooking are in for a treat with Indo Thai, the elegant jewel-in-the-crown of the Radisson Royal Hotel. The menu gives those with a passion for spice and fragrant food an enormous choice. The eponymous platter is a must for those with a serious appetite – the generously portioned assortment of succulent chicken wrapped in pandan leaves, fresh and aromatic Vietnamese spring rolls, moist Indonesian beef satay and crispy cheese tikki patties, all served with homemade dips, was an excellent way to kick off the meal. The tom yum goong soup, featuring prawns with lemongrass, lime and chilli, helped set the stage for the next course, which was truly exceptional.
For a carnivorous bite, head striaght for the marinated Wagyu tenderloin, infused with garlic and sesame oil and, which, though ample in size, isn’t heavy thanks to its accompaniment of wok-fried water spinach.
The cod fish fillet, which was steamed with ginger, celery and shiitake mushroom, came in a light soy sauce and dissolved in the mouth. To top it off, the fluffy Indian carrot halwa cake with cinnamon and saffron offered the perfect ending to a first-rate meal.
