Think classy Vietnamese cuisine with a nostalgic French influence and you have offerings that make both the UAE branches of Hoi An stand out, bringing alive tastes from Hanoi to Hue. Fashioned with the colonial era in mind, the interiors at Hoi An are an amalgamation of big rotating fans, marbled floors, solid wooden, saddle-seated chairs and potted plants. However, the food is more contemporary in nature. The paper rice rolls tempered with fresh herbs are filled with beef and seafood. Additionally, the vegetarian dishes, most especially the braised tofu and eggplant, are packed with a unique medley of flavours that burst on your tongue at first bite.

Luxe main courses include the oven baked sea bass with ginger lemon sauce and the poached and buttered slivers of luxurious lobster. We’re also partial to their signature beef tenderloin with mushrooms, onions, capsicum and watercress. For dessert, there is absolutely nothing better than the ginger crème brûlée; it has taste, punch and Asian decadence in every mouthwatering bite.
