As Ahlan! Gourmet has ventured inside the kitchen at Blue Jade, we can say with authority that what’s going on in there is pretty special. The chefs transform mysterious ingredients such as lotus and piper lolot leaves into vessels for succulent sea bass and inventive duck sausage. It’s a taste bud-led journey through Asia that stops over in Vietnam with shrimp-filled rice paper rolls before heading to Thailand for a sample of traditional pad Thai and then on to Japan, where sashimi and nigiri abound.
