Sometimes, only cosy will do. And, for many of us, cosy equals a traditional Italian. It means comforting pastas, reasonably-priced vino, decadent desserts, and a decent espresso. Not to mention friendly, low-key surroundings. Al Fresco on Sheikh Zayed Road ticks every box. The waiters and waitresses, not to mention the charming manager, are always warm and unfailingly polite; the pastas are inventive, tasty takes on the classics, while the pizzas are reliably crisp and full of flavour. We love the simple, yet delicious, spaghetti in tomato sauce and the traditional margherita pizza, while the tiramisu is a dessert must-have.
