It’s difficult to decide whether to enjoy the pool terrace or the opulence of the Moroccan dining room at the Westin Abu Dhabi’s Agadir. With sumptuous cushions, hand-embroidered tablecloths and colourful lanterns, the scene is perfectly set.
While pouring over the menu enjoy a mocktail of avocado, rose syrup and fresh laban while diving into a plate of harissa, olives, soft cheese, olive oil and freshly baked bread. It’s almost enough to fill up on!
Blending Arabic and Mediterranean cooking styles, each dish has a home-cooked feel to it, with every mouthful packed with the flavours of North Africa. Whether opting for traditional tagines such as lamb cooked with sweet prunes or chicken baked in lemon, or exploring the variety of chargrilled meats on offer, no dish is complete without a plate of couscous. For vegetarians as well, there are some wonderful options, from freshly baked pastilla to crisp and tangy Moroccan salads and delicious hearty soups. The portions at Agadir are incredibly generous so bring family and friends to help do them justice.
