In a leafy corner of Jumeirah Islands you’ll find the Reillys’ five-bedroom villa. While it’s a large home for a husband and wife (not forgetting their two cats), the many rooms have been so warmly and individually furnished that it feels cosy throughout.

“There’s a suitable spot to suit every mood – whether it be the garden or in any of the lounges. That’s what I love about our home,” says Rena.

A life of travelling has resulted in an array of interesting objects placed strategically around the house. Taking pride of place at the end of the main corridor that runs through the heart of the house sits a stunning Venetian glass sculpture by Luigi Benzoni entitled ‘Blessed Man’. Enhanced with lighting and a coloured backdrop this blown glass and gold piece vies for top spot as the Reillys’ most treasured item, alongside a watercolour by Pakistani artist Moazzam Ali.

“All our treasured pieces remind us of particular periods in our journey through life,” says Rena.
