RECIPE: Lebanese Kebabs
Kebabs are popular at any time of year but these are another savoury must at the table on Eid, served with curries, dips, salads, rice and pitta bread... yum!
500g minced beef
150g ground lamb
2 tbsp chopped parsley
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp sumac
¼ tsp ground nutmeg
3 tbsp butter
1 Combine the minced meats, parsley and spices until there is an even distribution of spices throughout the mixture.
2 Shape the meat mix into 2 ½ cm spheres around skewers, allowing 3-4 kebabs per skewer.
3 Cook under a hot grill for 3 minutes or so on each side, paying close attention to not pull the meat from the skewer whilst turning.
4 Drizzle with melted butter before serving.
