RECIPE: Clay Pot Beef Brisket with Radish

Slow cooking leaves this cut of beef tender and juicy

RECIPE: Clay Pot Beef Brisket with Radish

150g white radish
600g beef
25g oyster sauce
5g salt 
10g sugar 
20ml dark soy sauce 
20g hoisin sauce 

1. Place the white radish and beef brisket in a steamer (if you don’t have one, use a steaming basket from Carrefour and set it over a pot of boiling water). Steam for an hour, turning the mixture from time to time to ensure even cooking.
2. Remove from the steamer and place in a wok. Braise the beef and radish with the salt, sugar, soy and hoisin sauces for 10 minutes. Transfer to a clay pot before serving. 

This a lovely dish to prepare the day before then just reheat as required.
