Finding a new interest is a great way to re-boot your life.  With hot months creeping up on us, it is important to find an activity to keep yourself busy so you are not locked up in your air-conditioned home. It is crucial to have a proper work-life balance. Balancing your work and life means making time for work, making time for family and friends, and making time for yourself. You may not think you have a lot of free time on your hands, but that is probably because you are spending too much of your free time gossiping with friends instead of exploring your hidden talents.
There a number of hobbies you can choose from that will suit your creative abilities. Whether you enjoy them alone or with your friends and family - it’s a fabulous way to express your personal interests and to change your mood and mindset. Finding a new interest helps enhance your creativity and sharpen your focus. Let’s face it, when was the last time you learnt something new? When you are really doing something you love, you lose sense of time and enter what is called a ‘flow state,’ which restores your mind and energy. Signing up for something fun doesn’t have to cost you your shoe money! Work out your budget and tweak your interests accordingly. If you’re a foodie, experiment with cooking and find your inner Nigella Lawson. Invite friends over for dinner parties and show-off your culinary prowess. Fitness fan? Take a walk down to one of Dubai’s glorious beaches before it gets too hot. It’s great for your mind and keeping yourself active. Re-assess your mess
You are probably tempted to buy everything on your summer wish list, but take a look at your wardrobe to find some hidden gems. It’s best to do a spring clean first and clear the clutter. Go through all your clothes and make piles of what you want to toss, recycle, donate and then, of course, keep. It is easy to feel the need to hold onto things, especially when it comes to your clothes, just in case you want to wear it again. In some cases, yes, you may regret that leather biker jacket that you had for years that you gave away, but in most cases, it is good to get rid of the old to make room for the new. A good way to reassess your wardrobe is to come up with a strategy, define the season’s wardrobe as minimally as possible and cut it down to only a few pieces. It is important to always think about the essentials and prioritise items in your wardrobe. Some essential pieces include jeans, black pants, collared shirts, a blazer, white tee and, of course, that little black dress. Make sure you save a hanger for those few items that you wear all year round. Always follow the one year rule, too: if it hasn’t been worn in 12 months, then, let’s face it, it’s unlikely you will wear it now. Start the summer season afresh.  Out with the old and in with the new!  The new might be from your latest shopping spree, or a piece you forgot you loved buried in your closet.

Re-boot your bank account
Re-booting your bank account and learning how to make the most of the money you have is a necessity when it comes to kicking your life into shape and it is a lot easier than you think. Our spending, especially during the summer months, can often spiral out of control.  With summer nearly upon us, it is vital you learn how to manage your money properly before you dig yourself into debt. It is very easy to get caught up in wanting to live beyond your means or go on that exotic holiday - who doesn’t want more than what they have? A great way to organise your bank account is to try this exercise - take out a piece of paper and draw a line down the middle. Mark the first side of this as column A and the other column B. Look over your bank account for the past 30 days and write down your non-essential items in the first column. This can include weekly pedicures, buying clothes, coffees and impulse purchases. The next column is for things that you would like to have money for like starting a new hobby, fitness class or saving for a holiday. It’s important to put it down in writing and not just budget in your head. Once you have started this, it’s easy to see where your cash goes on senseless items. Once you have this list start cutting down on column A to make room for column B. Make your savings come first. Everyone can be guilty of talking about saving while never actually doing it. When your monthly paycheck comes in, the last thing you want to do is put half of it away. You want to buy a new outfit, go out for a nice meal or treat yourself to a spa day. However, it should be the other way around for longevity!

Fitness Fanatic
As it is bikini season all year round in the Middle East, it is important to always keep in shape, for both your mind and your body. Getting into shape is a great way to boost your self esteem!
In the Middle East, there are plenty of fitness programs that you can get into that are perfect for the mind, body and soul.  As well as doing wonders for your body and mind, fitness also improves your sleep. People who exercise regularly fall asleep faster and wake up less often during the night.
