Reconcile the romance in the Maldives
A favourite with… Danny Cipriani and Kelly Brook
This one is a bit of a head scratcher for us. First, they were together, and then they weren’t. Then she was with his teammate. Then she wasn’t. Now it seems Kelly has decided there’s no substitute for Danny Cipriani...
Rekindle the love: With its endless palm fringed beaches it’s no wonder Danny picked the Maldives as the make or break-ation for him and Kelly. They chose to do nothing but look longingly into each other’s eyes, but if you’re more energetic, scuba diving and sea fishing are all fun pastimes. Check out the One & Only Reethi Rah (reethirah.oneandonlyresorts.com) as it has an awesome activities package, including island hopping (by sea or air).
Seal the deal: Lost fans can indulge their tropical island fantasies at the Anantara Resort Maldives (anantara.com). This five-star boutique, set amid lush tropical gardens is guaranteed bliss. Book one of the stilted over-water suites, and wake up to the sound of waves every morning. And if that doesn’t pull on your passion strings, try sunset walks on the beach, kayaking or a bit of turtle spotting.
Flight of fancy: Fly to Malé Airport with Emirates (emirates.com) for Dhs4,500 return. From there, take a speed boat to your holiday hideaway. A beach villa at Anantara Resort Maldives starts from Dhs1,900 per night (including tax).

French kiss and make-up in Paris
A favourite with Brad and Angelina
Brad and Angelina are rockier than a Sylvester Stallone movie marathon, but as yet, there’s no sniff of the old ‘conflicting work schedules’ speech. Their stick-together secret? Perhaps it’s their regular jaunts to Paris that keep Hollywood’s hottest couple one-step ahead of the irreconcilable differences brigade.
Rekindle the love: Everyone knows about the Eiffel Tower, but if you really want to release those inner butterflies, check out the Luxembourg Gardens. This romantic spot has a tranquil picnic area, which is perfect for loved-up couples. NB: PDAs are not only legal in Paris, but practically mandatory… so pucker up. However, if it’s too nippy for alfresco dining, warm your cockles at Flûte Bar (flutebar.com), a hip champagne bar in the city centre. Once a gentleman’s drinking hole, this place still has an illicitly naughty feel to it… the bubbles aren’t bad either.
Seal the deal: Stay at Le Meurice (lemeurice.com). With its opulent interiors, this is the place to head to for a bit of old-world glamour. Plus, it’s five minutes’ walk from the Louvre Museum – perfect for getting all cultural. We recommend dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, also called Le Meurice. The sautéed blue lobster (a snip at Dhs715) is rumoured to be the best in the city.
Flight of fancy: Air France (airfrance.ae) flies direct to Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport for Dhs3,500 return. A night’s stay for two at Le Meurice, including breakfast, will set you back Dhs2,200 (including tax).

Forgive and forget in St Barts
A favourite with Josh Duhamel and Fergie
After an alleged cheating scandal in the first year of their marriage, we thought it was game over. However, all appears to be well, because the loved-up pair recently booked in for a smoochy getaway in St Barts.
Rekindle the love: Okay, so there’s sun, sea and sand, which is enough to smooth out the bumps in the wonkiest of relationships, but St Barts is so much more than just that. For total romance, try a sunset beach picnic. Hotel Guanahani (leguanahani.com) charges Dhs295 per person, but that’s not including beverages, so bring a bottle. If you’re more of a thrill-seeker, try their activities package, which includes kite surfing and wake-boarding.
Seal the deal: Book into celeb-favourite Eden Rock St Barts (edenrockhotel.com). This luxury hotel on the north side of the island has an exclusive butler service, a five-star spa and private pools. Word is, Fergie and Josh stayed in Villa Rockstar – a 16,000 square-foot bolt hole, which has its own beach and recording studio.
Flight of fancy: Fly to São Paulo in Brazil with Emirates (emirates.com) for approx Dhs7,600 return. From there, take a direct flight with US Airways (usairways.com) to St Barts for around Dhs8,000 return. Prices for Villa Rockstar at Eden Rock St Barts start at Dhs120,000 per night (not including tax). If the thought of splashing out a year’s rent on a one-night stay is enough to get you filing for divorce, relax because the classic suites are priced at Dhs7,000 a night, which is much more, ahem, reasonable.

Pucker up and party in Thailand
A favourite with Jamie Hince and Kate Moss
On-off, on-off, on- oh whatever! There was a time when we couldn’t keep up with Kate Moss and Jamie Hince. Fortunately, it seems the London-based lovers are now happier than ever, thanks to a break in Phuket.
Rekindle the love: To make things extra special, sources say Kate rented a super-duper yacht to cruise around the Andaman Sea. Very nice, but if you’re not on a supermodel salary, book one of the island’s many boat tours instead. Check out phuket-travel.com for all the latest information about those happening around the island. We love the Magical Phang Nga Bay Cruise, which is a day trip around Phang Nga Bay. For just Dhs150 you get to stretch your sea legs on a traditional dhow boat, and they even throw in a delicious lunch as well as snorkelling.
Seal the deal: Kate and Jamie booked into five-star resort Amanpuri in Phuket (amanresorts.com), which comes complete with a private pool, butler and beach. In between sunbathing, check out the award-winning Aman Spa. A 90-minute couples aromatherapy massage will set you back just over Dhs1,000.
Flight of fancy: Fly to Phuket with Thai Airways (thaiair.com) for Dhs3,000 return. A one night stay at Amanpuri is priced at Dhs3,215 (not including tax or breakfast).
