At just 15 years old Rashed Belhasa has more celebrity connections than Taylor Swift’s girl squad. This young Emirati has probably not only met more celebrities than any other teenager in the Middle East, but he counts a number of them as his good friends. Born and raised in Dubai, Rashed has become a celebrity in his own right thanks to his YouTube channel, called Money Kicks, in which he shows off his extensive collection of sneakers from around the world. Not only that, but Rashed is also joined by a host of famous faces as they sit and discuss trainers while hanging out in his specially created sneaker closet that’s home to more than 300 pairs of the rarest and most expensive kicks we’ve ever seen.

He speaks to us about his sneaker collection here:

These days Rashed is also known as a ‘social media influencer’, with over 489,000 followers on Instagram alone. “Social media changed my life,” Rashed tells Ahlan! “A few years ago I was a kid playing football, dreaming about being famous,” he adds. So how does a 15-year-old gather a following of almost half a mil? “You have to upload daily. Never stop. If you stop, people will forget about you,” he says.

The extensive list of celebrities on his social media timelines can’t hurt, either. Because no celebrity visit to Dubai is complete without a visit to Rashed’s family home and farm, where the A-list are able to get up close and personal with wild animals. Sporting legends such as Thierry Henry, Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have been over. So too have the cream of Hollywood, like Khloé Kardashian, Jackie Chan, Mariah Carey and Paris Hilton – the list is seemingly endless.

In fact, Rashed considers some of the celebrity visitors friends. “Wiz Khalifa and Tyga are close friends of mine and really cool guys,” he says. “We talk on WhatsApp all the time. Actually I made a video with Tyga for my YouTube channel. It went viral and that’s how I got more subscribers,” he adds.

So is there any celebrity Rashed would still like to have over to hang out with him on the the farm? “Michael Jordan would be a dream come true,” says Rashed. “Nobody else, just Michael Jordan. I’ve never met him, but I’m working on it. I don’t think he knows about me yet, but I’m a huge fan,” he says.

His favourite celebrity visitor to-date? “Fat Joe was really fun. He’s like our brother. A really cool guy and very down to earth,” says Rashed. “He came over again recently to surprise me for my YouTube anniversary. I was so shocked. I’ll never forget that.”

But don’t expect this UAE youngster to leave us behind for Hollywood just yet. After a visit to Los Angeles earlier this year, Rashed thinks the city is “boring” compared to Dubai. “It’s too big and there is too much traffic,” he adds.

In that case, we guess the A-listers will just have to keep flying over to visit him and his many trainers here in Dubai.
