Rapper Professor Green Sleeping on the Streets!
British rapper Professor Green suffered a sleepless night on the street while shooting a homeless documentary this week.
Following the success of his first documentary Professor Green: Suicide and Me, which was inspired by his father who took his own life, the hip-hop star was commissioned to make further specials on social issues such as homelessness and dangerous dogs.
Green, real name Stephen Manderson, began filming Sleeping Rough mid-December and he had his first experience of spending a night on the streets on Tuesday 22 December.
He took to Twitter the following day to describe how he struggled to sleep because he was so exposed to the elements, writing: "First night on the streets. Chose keeping moving and staying warm over feeling vulnerable bedding down, freezing and trying to sleep."
Before that, he headed to Stockport and Manchester in England to discover how the homeless are treated by authorities, and he wrote: "Youth Homelessness documentary day four has brought us to Stockport where homelessness has tripled in the last 12 months... Shooting this doc has not been easy. "Stockport and Manchester have been eye opening, informative and infuriating. #Homelessness... It's terrible how little is being done by authorities to prevent it."
The documentary is due to air on Britain's BBC3 channel in 2016.
