The Moon Sighting Committee have officially announced the start of Ramadan

The Moon Sighting Committee have officially announced that Ramadan in the UAE will begin on Wednesday, 10 July.

The committee issued the statement at 10.10pm on 8 July after a lengthy investigation. It marked the first time that the committee took so long to declare the first day of Ramadan.

The Holy Month will also begin on 10 July in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Egypt, Malaysia, Australia and Singapore.
