Quentin Tarantino smashes his own box-office record with his newest release
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, Tarantino’s newest flick, did wonders on its opening weekend. Making a whopping $40.4 million in the US and Canada alone, the movie broke Tarentino’s previous record of $38 million from ‘Inglorious Basterds’ in 2009.
The new film performed better than what was predicted, and was well-received by critics. The movie is currently at No.2 at the box office, right behind Disney’s The Lion King, which has earned $75.5 million.
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, set in 1969, stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Rick Dalton, a TV star with a declining career, Brad Pitt as Cliff Booth, Dalton’s stunt double and pal.
