Private Sector Employees Might Get 4 Days Off for Eid Al Adha

Eid Al Adha might fall on 5 October, according to a statement in Al Bayan newspaper, made by Mohammed Shawkat Awda, chairman of the Islamic Crescent Observation Project. 

Should the holiday actually fall on the predicted date, private sector employees could be in for a four day Eid break. Public sector companies might even give their employees full five days off, add to that the weekends and you are looking at an amazing nine-day break!

So should Eid actually fall on Sunday, 5 October, private sector employees would have the opportunity to take a four-day Eid vacation, counting the weekend.

However, as usual, the official announcement is made a few days prior to the holidays, once the moon sighting committee confirms. So we'll jus have to wait and see...
