While his wife was awaiting the arrival of their first baby this weekend, Prince William, 31, was having a laugh with his brother on a polo field nearly 100 miles away. The Prince played in a charity polo match at Cirencester Park Polo Club in Gloucestershire. The Duchess meanwhile, was said to be relaxing at her parent’s house in Bucklebury, Berkshire as she awaits the overdue new arrival. The countdown is on as the baby was due on Saturday 13 July.
It was Will’s second match of the weekend, having already played in a tournament in Kent. However it wasn’t an easy decision for William to leave his wife according to Royal insiders. “Initially his office said yes, then said no, and then confirmed that he could play,” the source said. “I think he was torn as clearly he wants to be with his wife at such an important time, but was all too aware how much the event raises for charities he is very passionate about.”
