Prince William and Prince Harry Join Star Wars
Prince William and Prince Harry have reportedly filmed cameos as Stormtroopers in the new Star Wars movie.
The royals met the cast and crew of Star Wars: Episode VIII during a visit to the set at Pinewood Studios in London, England, on Tuesday.
During their tour, William and Harry met Daisy Ridley, who plays heroine Rey, John Boyega who plays Finn, Mark Hamill, who stars as the iconic Luke Skywalker, and Oscar-winner Benicio del Toro, who is believed to be playing new villain Lord Vikram.
And, according to reports, the princes even squeezed in filming a secret scene for the upcoming movie.
"The line given was that they were going to have lunch and a private tour of the rest of the set. What really happened is that the director came over and told them it was time to ‘get suited’ and off they went to the wardrobe department," a source told Britain's Mail on Sunday newspaper.
William and Harry are reportedly dressed in full Stormtrooper uniforms in the scene, which sees them in a lift with Benicio's character.
A spokesperson for the princes would "neither confirm nor deny" the royal roles, but added: "The Princes had a great day showcasing the British talent behind Star Wars." Disney, the studio behind the film, declined to comment.
During William and Harry's visit to the Pinewood set, the pair staged a mock battle around with lightsabers, with Harry joking: "Why do I always have to be the baddie?"
Harry also told onlookers that his nephew, Prince George, "would love" one of the weapons.
