Prince Harry's First Public Appearance Since Scandal!
Prince Harry's back! A few weeks have passed since the Prince's 'what happens in Vegas does not stay in Vegas' moment, and on 3 September, Harry made his first public appearance, safely choosing a children's charity event.
At the WellChild Awards at the Intercontinental Hotel in London, the affable and calm Prince joked with children, and even preempted what could have been an uncomfortable moment. People reported,
"After a little boy, Alex Logan, appeared on a British TV news
report saying he would tell the prince, 'I'm glad you've got your
clothes on,' Harry, 27, preempted the youngster during their meeting."
The Prince reportedly said, "You keep looking up at your Mum. It looks like you're dying to
say something but you're worried she'll tell you off," wagging his finger at the six-year-old suffering from Lukemia. He added, "I heard you were on ITV earlier and you
said something cheeky but let's not talk about that here."
Good advice, Harry!
Harry has been the patron of the charity for the last five years and observers said he was having fun joking with children at the reception. A People source said, "He was very calm and composed. You'd never know anything had happened," and another eye witness said he was "hugging every child" and he even got two big kisses on the cheek from a five-year-old, to which he reportedly joked, "But we've only just met"! Aww. Not a tough crowd!
